ITFN 1112 Systems Analysis

Welcome to ITFN 1112, Foundations of Systems Analysis (Fall 2004 Semester)


  This course is an introduction to the processes included in the analysis and design of information systems. It covers the technical, informational, organizational, and human aspects of computer-based information systems.  Emphasis is placed on the systems development life cycle and tools that support these processes. Tools include Task Lists, Event Tables, Flowcharts, Workflow Diagrams, Entity-Relationship Diagrams, Object models, Use Case Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and others. Designed to introduce basic principles and concepts of Systems Analysis, Design and Implementation, applicable to a variety of environments.  Traditional life cycle methodologies contrasted with object-oriented (OO) analysis.
