This course is a functional approach to algebra that incorporates the use of appropriate technology. Emphasis will be placed on the study of functions and their graphs, inequalities, and linear, quadratic, piece-wise defined, rational, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions.  Appropriate applications will be included. (For students in Math-intensive majors, MATH 1101 does not apply in the Core Curriculum; see Core requirements. Students who take this course in preparation for MATH 1113 should also take MATH 1112 concurrently with MATH 1111.)
